NEW! 1968 International League Set


The 1968 international League set is an 8-team, 277 card, APBA-compatible set in color pdf format that features many 60’s, 70s & 80s stars like Amos Otis, Richie Hebner, Al Oliver, Manny Sanguillen, Freddie Patek, Dave Campbell, Brant Alyea, IL MVP and batting champ Merv Rettenmund, Mike Fiore, Terry Crowley, Mike Hegan, Joe Lahoud, Mike Marshall, Jim Rooker, Dick Drago, Gary Gentry, Tug McGraw, Jim McAndrew, Steve Renko, Tom House, Dock Ellis and many more. Included with the set is a roster/lineup card for each team and Master Game numbers are on each players’ card.

The 1968 International League season was the 83rd in the league’s history, and ended with the Jacksonville Suns winning their first and only Governors’ Cup. The league’s best regular season record belonged to the Toledo Mud Hens at 83-64 just 1/2 game better than the Columbus Jets. The Jacksonville Suns, the New York Mets affiliate, were led by their strong pitching staff of Gary Gentry (12-8, 2.91 ERA), Tug McGraw (9-9, 3.42 ERA), Jim McAndrew (8-3, 2.54 ERA), Bill Connors (8-5, 2.97 ERA), Danny Frisella (4-2, 2.72 ERA) and Steve Renko (4-1, 3.00) and hitters like Amos Otis and Duffy Dyer. Toledo had a strong team led by the power of 2B Dave “Soup” Campbell and 1B prospect Don Pepper with another strong pitching staff made up of Mike Marshall  (15-9, 2.94 ERA), Jim Rooker (14-8, 2.61 ERA), Dick Drago (15-8, 3.36 ERA), Dick Radatz. The best hitting team in the league was the Columbus Jets with Pirates prospects Richie Hebner, Al Oliver, Manny Sanguillen, Freddie Patek but their pitching was middle of the road led by Dave Roberts (18-5, 3.17 ERA).
